Color Scheme : Purple
This weekend, the Neo-Soul singer Erykah Bady debuted her video for Window Seat, the single from her new album that drops on Tuesday. People will go on and on about the appropriateness of the video which defeats the whole purpose of the message behind it. My favorite part has to be in the end when the words GROUP THINK spill out on the ground. This is a small reference to 1984, a CLASSIC book written by George Orwell. Typical group think mentality will definitely not help you understand her message.
Badu was trying to express herself as an individual who appreciates art, and not surprisingly people who enjoy the color purple are the same way. CHaa ching!
Purple is a a lot of things: It's mysterious, romantic, spiritual, and royal. It's also a feminine color, but there's not set rule that makes a color feminine or masculine.
Utility Chic
I was rolling around, in my mind it occurred
What if God was a her?
Would I try Her the same? Would I still be running game on Her?
In what type of ways would I want Her?
Would I want Her for mind or her heavenly body?
Couldn't be out here getting bogus with someone so Godly
If i was with Her, would i still be wanting my ex?
The lies, the greed, the weed, the sex
Wouldn't be ashamed to give her part of my check
Wearing her cross, I mean Her heart on my neck
Her I would reflect,
On the streets of the Chi
Ride with her, cuz i know for me, she'd die
Through good and bad call on Her like i'm chirpin her
Couldn't be jealous cuz other brothers worship her
Walk this earth for her
Glory, i'm grateful
to be in her presence
I try to stay faithful.

Go Head and Switch Your Style Up
These Nike trainers have been around for a while now and they where even re-released sometime in 2006 or 2007 as tribute to vintage Nike. They are extremely hard to find nowadays so be happy if you come across a pair. They have a distinct worn feel and look which makes them the more appealing and they come in a variety of colors. Personally, I would suggest these sneakers to anybody because it fits all styles. From tights to skinny jeans and shorts, these vintage Nike's are just about as sporty and girly as it can get. Great for the spring and summer time days in the city. Wish I could find a pair.:?

But for those who have been waiting patiently for their orders shipment starts today March 8th. Man, stuff is selling out here faster than hot cakes. If you want something don't get caught slipping or you'll be a**ed out!
My Mind Is Like A Diamond Producing Colors Like A Prism
It's impossible to look at the multitude of blogs that are on the Web. But I find that getting my daily dose of the few blogs that are more than sub par does me justice. I gotta say, I want to have the kind of site that's well known, but it's very time consuming, and I just want it right. So in the near future, I'm looking for partners and i plan on investing in some good photo equipment. Learn the tricks of the trade. For now though, I want to share this blogger who i stumbled upon. She's a graphic designer from Paris who doubles up as a fashionista. What do you get? Originality. When i saw her blog i thought, "Why didn't i think of this?!" Ingenious. Love that her true face is hidden behind her art, and not the other way around. Want to see more? Click here for her blog site My Kinda Magazine.

Road Less Traveled
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
"The Road Not Taken" is a poem written by Robert Frost that holds a special place in my heart. It's a much more elaborate version of Ralph Waldo Emerson's quote, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." It is one of the poems that I can read over and over again and remind myself about the beauty of being an individual and following your own hearts desires regardless of what others may think. As we go through different paths and stages in life, we have to remember who we are and what is our purpose in life. The first time I read this poem I was graduating high school-the words were written inside that piece of paper rolled up that's handed at graduation. Now that i'm on to a new path in life, i have to remind myself that each day i live it's to do what i have always wanted to do and not let anything stop me.
