Nytimes.com :"Vibe Magazine, Showcase for Hip-Hop and R&B, Dies at 16"

I don't know how many people understand how important and tragic this is to the hip-hop & rap community. Vibe Magazine was probably the last hope that the hip-hop and rap community had of showcasing musical talent and the richness of the culture to the rest of the world. I'm saddened because I have to scratch Vibe off the number one spot of possible internships that I'm applying for this summer. I think the one question that's lingering in the back of all journalism majors is where will this profession go. So far, print media is going down the drain with the recession and and decline of readership. It's simply not looking good for us.
